Based in San Anselmo, CA, Ann Lowengart has been creating warm, chic, and inviting interiors for more than 15 years. Chances are you’ve seen her work in Traditional Home, on HGTV and earlier this month on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. She and her dedicated team are exceptionally talented and a true delight to work with. Shop the looks from some of our favorite projects as we shine the client spotlight on Ann Lowengart Interiors this month.
A fan of adding a touch of the unexpected to every space she designs, Lowengart created a quirky floral headboard to match the drapes and bedskirt in this preppy-chic bedroom. Built-in bookcases and Architect’s Swing Arm Sconces by Peter Talbot make this room a cozy reader’s retreat.
Lowengart and team prove they are just as well-versed in contemporary design as they are in the traditional and transitional styles in this fashion-forward family home. The crisp kitchen island is lit by a trio of Large Hicks Pendants by Thomas O’Brien.
Lowengart was among the seven designers selected to transform the second annual Traditional Home Napa Valley Showhouse at Charles Krug Winery. A pair of Yul Table Lamps by Alexa Hampton in the sitting area and Wesport Sconces by Barbara Barry on either side of the bed reflect her traditional yet fresh and youthful style in the master bedroom.
In home design today, no metal finish is shining brighter than brass. Unlike the cool simplicity of nickel or bronze, brass emanates a warm, earthy glow and feels simultaneously modern and traditional. A finish associated with inherent quality, brass only becomes more attractive over time.
Our craftsmen spent over 25 years developing techniques for rich burnishing, warm patina, and soft lustre – all while maintaining tones which are consistent. Find out more about what makes 3 of our most popular finishes so special and shop brass pieces now in stock & ready to ship!
hand-rubbed antique brass
Our Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass (HAB/AB) finish was first developed by Visual Comfort & Co.’s legendary chief designer, E.F. Chapman. After polishing the raw brass, it is hand-finished with a slight patina to achieve the rich, signature color. The fixtures are then lightly oiled to set and protect the brass during shipment.
Soft Brass (SB) is a finish found exclusively in the Barbara Barry collection. These fixtures are first polished to a mirrored surface, then burnished by hand to resemble years of care. The result is a tone that is consistent with our other brass finishes and a slightly more matte surface.

In the debut installment, Gale provides a best-of-the-best list of her favorite places to eat, shop, drink, and soak in the culture.
We are so excited to share this breathtaking Savannah home, designed by Libby Putman and Angie Horne of Coastline Design Works, LLC in Savannah, Georgia. Our Savannah Showroom Manager, Courtney Saussy, has been raving about the beauty of this home since she first began working with Libby and Angie on the lighting design, and we could not be more impressed with the results!
The Historic architectural features of this traditional style home, and of course the picturesque scenery, inspired Libby and Angie to design a home that would be classic and timeless. The interior selections are neutral, tone on tone, with lots of textures used throughout. Classic and timeless transitional furnishings, with a hints of coastal elements, evoke an understated elegance. By aiming their primary focus on the materials, tones and textures, rather than on color and finish, they achieved a design for this beautiful home that is as tactile as it is unique!
