The Coastal Living 2011 Ultimate Beach House room tour is now available on their website so we thought we’d share some of our favorite rooms with you. The home is located at East Beach in Norfolk, Virginia and is a beautiful seaside retreat through and through. The living room features our Six Light Square Tube Chandelier in bronze and theNY Public Library Floor Lamps in bronze with hand-rubbed antique brass shades. This room really carries out the nautical palette with blues, whites and yellows. Several windows let in an abundance of natural light for a relaxed and airy feeling.
The Six Light Square Tube Chandelier in bronze adorns the dining room table which has a casual feel with the use of banquettes in place of chairs. Gray-white washed ceilings are used from the living room into the dining room and create an easy flow from one room to the next.
Kitchens are the heart of any home and this one is sure to be the spot any family would want to spend most of its time. The new Southport Single Pendantin stainless steel is used over the island and the French Library Double Wall Lamps in hand-rubbed antique brass are used over the sink. I’m not sure what is our favorite part of this kitchen – it’s a toss up between the lighting, the combination of white painted and fumed oak cabinets, and the blue recycled ceramic tile. I think we just love it all!
The variety of textures in the master bedroom add interest without distracting you from the gorgeous views from the many windows. The Chubby Baluster Form Table Lamps in crystal add to the airy feel of the room.
The children’s bathroom is quaint and features great detail with the planking used in a chevron pattern and painted in a soft gray. The Boston Head Light Wall Sconces in hand-rubbed antique brass add a touch of fun in place of the typical choice for bathroom lighting.
In the carriage house, the kitchen is small yet functional. The Sloane Single Pendants with Glass Shades are a great choice for over the sink.
Not only do they provide task lighting but they also save on space – and look great!
