Our new Chicago showroom is open and ready for business!

Thanks to an amazing collaboration with a local publication, CS Interiors, and the outstanding support of the local community, the grand opening event of our new Chicago showroom on December 6th was a huge success!

Guests were treated to delectable food and wine provided by Kenmare Catering and enjoyed music by Cage and Aquarium.

Guests brought their business cards to be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a pair of beautiful alabaster table lamps. Local interior designer, Theresa Manglinong, was the lucky winner and she will be stopping by the showroom soon to pick up her lamps.

We officially opened the doors to the new 2,800 square foot showroom earlier this month at 444 North Wells. This space is Circa Lighting‘s first in Illinois and our fifth retail location nationwide. And location was the key factor in the decision to open a showroom in Chicago. The North Wells building was chosen for its classic architecture and history which dates back to 1910. In addition, it is just one block from the Merchandise Mart and close to the Loop.

Along with an expansive collection of decorative lighting, the showroom features a number of unique details. Customers will find innovative merchandising displays and meeting spaces tailored specifically to enhance a designer’s creativity. There are many beautiful architectural features such as high-ceilings to display hanging fixtures and wood floors.

High ceilings and vignettes help you visualize our unparalleled assortment of hanging fixtures and designer collections.

Sliding walls allow us to show double the amount of wall product we had before – more for you to choose from!

Seating for eight allows you to spread out to review design plans, access presentations on the digital media, meet with clients, review catalogs or try out different lighting looks.

Guests can relax, find inspiration by flipping through our collection of design books and magazines, shop the entire collection online and even upload photos of your project to reference while shopping.

The Atlanta showroom, which was redesigned and relocated earlier this year, was the inspiration for the Chicago showroom in terms of size and scale. The Charleston and Savannah retail showrooms were also redesigned earlier this fall–next will be the Houston location.

We are very excited about this new opportunity to serve the Chicago market and want to thank everyone who came to the event. We appreciate your support and look forward to a prosperous and happy new year in our new space.

The Chicago showroom is open Monday – Saturday from 10-6.

The lights were shining brilliantly last night as we welcomed so many friends during the Upper King Design Walk in Charleston, South Carolina. It was a wonderful event.  We were so thrilled to see many customers who came to help us celebrate our showroom renovation. We were also thankful to have met so many new friends at the event.

Many of our guests enjoyed fabulous bites from neighboring Macaroon Boutique, located on John Street. The boutique created authentic French treats for the event including raspberry, blue cheese and other tasty macaroons. They were delicious and pretty too.

The response to the renovation was incredible, with many commenting on how the showroom looked open, bright and welcoming.

Everyone loved the selection and the sliding door displays. There were so many beautiful table, wall, ceiling and floor lamps to choose from.

There was one lucky winner of a pair of these beautiful Gourd Bedside Lamps. We will announce the winner once they have been notified.

We would like to thank everyone who visited the new showroom and participated in the Upper King Design District Walk last evening. We enjoyed meeting all of you and hope to see you again soon!

The Southern Living Idea House is a renovated farmhouse located in beautiful Senoia, Georgia. Since its opening on June 2, the response has been overwhelming. We are thrilled to have so many of our ceiling and wall lights featured by Tracery Interiors, the design firm who helped bring the farmhouse to life. They created a classic and comfortable home, which remains true to the style of the old south.

The foyer and entry way feel so welcoming with warm hardwood floors. A wide hallway runs through the house and allows an enormous amount of natural light to fill the space. A School House Flush Mount was used for additional lighting in the foyer.

As seen before, the white kitchen trend is still going strong, yet here, the white is contrasted with mixed finishes of brass and stainless. Henry Industrial Hanging Lights are functional, and bring a vintage touch to the room. A spacious kitchen island provides ample work space and an eating area.

The Boston Functional Double Sconce is used over the pedestal sink in one of the small bathrooms.

The Americana bedroom combines vintage and new, vintage-inspired pieces like the iron bed by IKEA. A Large Siena Flush Mount blends nicely with the style of the room.

Wood floors continue into the master bath, and the rug provides softness and functionality.  Yoke Suspended Wall Lights can be seen on either side of the vanity mirror. A claw foot tub is a natural choice in a southern home, and this one is unique with black painted feet.

Using a vintage vanity cabinet in the bathroom is a great way to achieve big impact. Boston Functional Single Sconces fit the look perfectly.

Playful blue and white wallpapered walls add so much charm to the home. The Bryant Sconce by Thomas O’Brien was chosen for this bathroom.

We hope you enjoyed the tour of the Southern Living Idea House, and hope you can visit it in person. The house will remain open to the public until December 22 and is located at 57 Morgan Street, Senoia, Georgia. Tickets may be purchased here.

This dining room is the perfect size.  It allows for a large dining table and plenty of room to move around.  There are great features to this room including double chandeliers - Ziyi Large Chandelier - a fabulous wine closet, large silver closet and important panel detailing.

This 4th floor bedroom showcases that clean mix of masculine and feminine.  The large pattern cut silk carpet from Tai Ping offers a textured base to the room.  While the French inspired furnishings from Mecox Gardens give important balance. Lighting selections include The Garey Industrial Floor Lamp next to the bed; and The Large Carved Urn Table Lamp in Old Garden White finish is the perfect touch on the dresser.  This room overlooks all of Houston and opens up to a large rooftop terrace, giving it an oasis feel.

The kitchen – the most important room in the house!  This kitchen is large but cozy in feel.  Added features include upgraded Miele appliances, antique honed granite countertops, picked washed custom cabinets, limestone hexagon tile floors, and circa lighting’s Small Hicks Pendant in Bronze/Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass finish.

The living room opens up to the kitchen and a large landing.  Coral colors were chosen to showcase the beautiful wood floors, and the rich textured details.  The room has many options for seating, dining and relaxing.   The cast stone fireplace is a perfect focal point.  The large carpet from Abrahams keeps the room light and reflects the collected quality of this home.  And, of course, we love the addition of the Tripod Table Lamp and the 24″ Cabinetmakers Picture Light over the built-in bookcases.

The 1st floor parlor.  This is your first impression.  This room has herringbone brick floors, a cast stone fireplace, French doors that lead to an outdoor space, and fabulous storage.  Butler Brothers, the developer, wanted this room to be a connection to the outdoors by giving it that easy to maintain quality.  The lighting – including The Paris Floor Lamp - the textured wood detailing, the heavy linen fabrics and the sculptural furnishings all lend to that organic look.
